What is Fred’s Walk?
Fred’s Walk is Fred Victor’s annual fundraising event that takes you behind the scenes of frontline work addressing homelessness and poverty in Toronto. You’ll walk a guided route through the city, visiting program sites and seeing how lives are being rebuilt — every day — through housing, health care, food access, and more.
Why It Matters
Fred’s Walk gives you a first-hand look at the realities of homelessness — and the solutions that work. Funds raised support Fred Victor’s mission to help people rebuild their lives through housing, health, and income stability programs
It’s not just a walk. It’s a chance to learn, challenge assumptions, and experience real solutions in action.
How to Join
1. Form a Team
Gather colleagues, friends, or family. Suggested team size: 5–10 people. Choose a team captain to lead your group. Register here.
2. Fundraise
Set a goal and raise funds in fun, creative ways. We’ll give you ideas and access to a personalized online fundraising page.
3. Walk and Learn
On June 4, your team will meet at MaRS Discovery District for a kickoff lunch, then walk site to site with a Fred Victor guide to learn how your funds support housing, mental health care, and food security.
4. Celebrate!
Wrap up with a well-earned Awards Party: food, wine, craft beer, awards, and raffle prizes back at MaRS.
