Volunteers are essential members of our team; their support makes it possible for Fred Victor to run many of our critical programs and services.
Our volunteer opportunities are engaging, interactive, and diverse, and geared to individuals who are looking to learn, gain new skills, share their expertise, work in a team and make a difference. Most of our volunteer opportunities are available during the weekday, from 8 am to 3 pm. There are a few specialized programs and events that require volunteer support in the afternoons and evenings throughout the year.
Amidst the Covid-19 pandemic, our volunteer opportunities have become more limited. Please click here to see our current volunteer opportunities (look for postings which begin with ‘Volunteer’) or email our Volunteer Coordinator, Hilda Nouri at firstname.lastname@example.org for more information.
All volunteers are required to attend a Volunteer Orientation Session and are expected to commit to a minimum of 1 month of volunteer work.
All are welcome to apply for the Volunteer Program. We prioritize individuals from the Toronto’s East end neighborhoods and surrounding communities and welcome those who have experience with issues such as unemployment, poverty, and homelessness.
Individuals interested in and available during weekdays (before 3pm) for volunteering should fill out a Volunteer Application Form here.
