Fred Victor Early Beginnings

Today, Fred Victor is a multi-service organization and a registered charity.  We give assistance to single adults and families who live in sub-standard housing, shelters, or on the street and who have little or no income.

Staff in our programs strive to work with people as partners as they ask questions and make decisions about their lives.  "How can I get and keep a small apartment to live in?"  "With my poor heart health, will I be able to work again?"  "I have lost all my ID, how can I get it replaced?"  People are able to rebuild their lives by finding answers and contributing to the life of the Fred Victor community.

The core values that inform Fred Victor are the same ones that have carried the organization over the past 116 years.  Our vision is for everyone to have a home and the opportunity for meaningful participation in society. 

Our Mission Statement is to provide responsive, accessible and innovative housing and services for people who are experiencing homelessness and poverty, and to advocate for a more equitable society.
